The CMI was established with “…a mission to be at the forefront of the development of a vibrant and successful film industry and culture across Scotland and beyond.”
Their existing websites are around 10 years old and therefore in need of an upgrade both technologically and visually. It’s particularly important that the new sites work seamlessly on mobile devices as people are increasingly using their mobile devices to book and search online.
The new sites will focus heavily on creating a clear and more intuitive user experience, particularly when it comes to searching and booking tickets for shows. We’ve spent time refining an overly complex 11 step process down to 5.
Nick Cole, Teviot’s CMO led the tender process and is delighted to have been chosen as the new CMI digital partner after a 4-way pitch:
“We knew from the offset that we wanted to become CMI and EIFFs digital partner and we therefore went that extra mile to understand what was required and to demonstrate our commitment and knowledge. We undertook detailed planning sessions to map a new site information and technical architecture, communicated with all relevant third party system providers and used this research to create wireframes and example designs. This research enabled us to go into great technical detail in our proposal and pitch, which in turn gave the client confidence in our ability to deliver. The client told us that the level of detail and research undertaken is what set us apart from other agencies.”
Kerryn Kirkpatrick, Director of External Relations at CMI said:
“We’re thrilled to appoint Teviot to create a new suite of websites for the Centre for the Moving Image family. It’s a great fit – not only does the talented team at Teviot share our passion for film, they also share our commitment to delivering a seamless and superior online user experience for our audiences and stakeholders. We’re looking forward to working with Teviot to find new and exciting ways to connect more deeply with film lovers across all of our brands.”
The all new EIFF website will launch towards the end of May in time for the launch of the 2017 EIFF programme. The cinema sites will follow in August and the CMI site will launch in September.
